We have officially reached game play with the start of Phase III On 7/6.  Below are highlights of the latest game play requirements issued by the state...most of these were previously adopted.

Wearing Masks & Social Distancing:

  • Coaches and players MUST have their mask around their neck at all times. If you have the mask that goes around your ear, then we recommend tying a string to each end so you can pull it down and keep it around your neck.
  • All coaches, players & umpires must show up and leave wearing a mask.
  • Players MUST WEAR A MASK when they are in or around the dugout.
  • We strongly recommend players wearing a mask when up at bat or on the bases. Players do not have to wear a mask when they are playing in the field.
  • Coaches MUST WEAR A MASK AT ALL TIMES. This is what is in the MA guidelines that came out yesterday. (Coaches, staff, referees, umpires and other officials are required to wear facial coverings and maintain social distancing of 6 feet from players, coaches, spectators, and other persons at all times.)
  • Everyone has a different view on the COVID-19 but we need to make everyone feel comfortable when their child is at the field.
  • Players must be spread out in and around the dugouts.
  • Spectators must stay away from the dugouts and each other.
  • Spectators are encouraged to bring their own chairs.  Outfield areas away from players are designated for spectators at Casey Field and the area behind home plate is designated for spectators at Memorial Field.
