NBSA Baseball Season Registration
Northborough Baseball and Softball Association sponsors spring, summer and fall programs for Northborough residents* age 5 to 16. Age cutoffs for programs are generally dictated by Little League / Babe Ruth rules based on age as of January 1 (changing for children born on or after January 1 2011). If you have any questions about the registration process that are not covered below please contact the NBSA Registrar, Paul Cacciatore.
*The officially allowed exception is for a child who lives in town, begins playing in an NBSA program, then moves out of town but wants to continue playing in town. A family in this situation must apply for a waiver. In certain situations, non-Northborough residents are allowed to play in the Summer and Fall programs to help balance out the rosters.
Registration for the Spring Season is held in September for the baseball programs. Registration is conducted online through the league site and will be announced on the NBSA site while active. The Spring Season runs from late April through the middle of June.
The Summer Season consists primarily of tournament activity for the older children (ages 9 and up). Tournament (or "All-Star") teams have a specific evaluation process. NBSA also sponsors an informal summer program for 7 to 9 year olds (Summer AA Baseball) that follows the rules, ages of the Spring AA baseball program. Registration for the Summer AA program is opened in mid-June and the season runs in July and August.
The Fall Season includes baseball programs for 7 to 15 year-olds in a relaxed weekend environment. Registration for the Fall Season is held in late August and the season runs in September and October.
