Algonquin Baseball and Softball Association (formerly NBSA) Spring 2022 Registration
Algonquin Baseball and Softball Association sponsors spring, summer and fall programs for Northborough and Southborough residents* age 5 to 16. The Age Determination Date for a Little League Baseball player is the actual age of a child on August 31st of the current year. *The officially allowed exception is for a child who lives in town, begins playing in an ABSA program, then moves out of town but wants to continue playing in town. A family in this situation must apply for a waiver.
Seasons
Registration for the Spring Season begins in September for the baseball programs. Registration is conducted online through the league site and will be announced on the ABSA site (still under construction) while active. The Spring Season runs from late April through the middle of June.
The Summer Season consists primarily of tournament activity for the older children (ages 9 and up). Tournament (or "All-Star") teams have a specific evaluation process. ABSA also sponsors an informal summer program for 7 to 9 year olds (Summer AA Baseball) that follows the rules, ages of the Spring AA baseball program. Registration for the Summer AA program is opened in mid-June and the season runs in July and August.
The Fall Season includes baseball programs for 7 to 15 year-olds in a relaxed weekend environment. Registration for the Fall Season is held in late August and the season runs in September and October.

Majors Division:
Our Major Little League Program Provides players who are baseball age 10, 11 and 12 (birth dates September 1, 2009 - August 31, 2012) with the opportunity to continue their development in a more competitive environment. Teams play a 12-14 game regualr season that culminates in an exciting playoff series to crown an eventual division champion.
During the registration process, all baseball players who are baseball age 10, 11, and 12 for the Spring 2022 season are asked to select a date for evaluation. All new majors eligible players are required to attend an evaluation for the upcoming spring season., either Sunday, January 30th or Sunday, February 6th. These will take place at St. Mark's School in Southboro from 7PM-8:30PM. The player musy go through the registration process to select an evaluation date.

Minors Division:
Casey League (AAA) is open to players who are baseball age 8, 9, 10 and 11 (players born between September 1, 2010 and August 31, 2014) or the Spring 2022 season. All players who are returning to the AAA roster or who plan to attend the mandatory evaluation should register as soon as possible. Evaluations will be held either Sunday, January 30th or Sunday, February 6th. These will take place at St. Mark's School in Southboro from 4:30PM-6:00PM.
All 9-year olds must register for AAA and attend one of the evaluations, which are utilized to determine the player's proper placement in AAA or AA. The link for registration is http://assn.la/Reg/?r=4:175975
